FROM CNC MACHINIST
TO AI LAB LEAD.

I'm Věnceslav Chumchal. I lead the AI Lab at the Institute for Nanomaterials, Advanced Technologies and Innovation at TU Liberec — a team of 10–15 ML engineers and LLM specialists delivering 30+ applied AI projects a year, from research to production software.

My path is unusual: I started on the shop floor as a CNC machinist, moved into data engineering, then ML research, and built my way to leading one of the top applied AI teams in the region.

Alongside that, I co-founded IPF Industry — an international trade and manufacturing company operating across the EEA, Middle East, and India.

I'm based in Southeast Asia — on your factory floor next week, with EU credentials and EU AI Act / GDPR delivery practices that international clients require. Every engagement ends with your team owning the capability. I don't create dependencies.

Are you actually available on-site next week? +
Yes — I'm based in Southeast Asia and travel across the region regularly. Typical lead time for an on-site visit is 1–2 weeks from confirmed engagement. Remote kickoffs can start within days. The Discovery Sprint includes one on-site day within the 3-day scope.
We tried AI tools before and they didn't stick. Why would this be different? +
Most AI tool deployments fail because they're imposed on a team without building understanding. Every engagement here is built around transferring the thinking, not just the tool. Your team will understand why the system works — and be able to fix it, extend it, or replace it. That's what "skills, not dependencies" means in practice.
What industries do you work with beyond manufacturing? +
Manufacturing is the primary focus, but the same approach — fixed-price pilots, capability transfer — applies to logistics, agri-tech, and industrial services. If your business has repetitive physical processes or quality control challenges, it's worth a conversation.

What happens if the pilot doesn't deliver results? +
Every engagement is scoped to a specific, measurable outcome before we start. If the agreed metric isn't hit, we extend the engagement at no extra cost until it is. The fixed price means the risk is mine, not yours.
